Washing Machine Taking In Water Slowly or Not at All: AEG E10 Code
I'd like to share this quick post for people like us who had problems with the washer, but none of the widely described solutions on the Internet worked. The washing machine with the problem was AEG 7000 Series Lavamat. The washer did not pump water properly. It took significantly more time to get filled with water. Sometimes it even paused with beeping and error code E10. One more weird thing was that a strange sound or water flow, as if running through a narrow hole could be heard from the washer. We have checked the official guidelines and many other posts on the Internet that talked more or less about the same.
- Check the inlet hose if it's not too bent somewhere.
- Check water pressure of the inlet, make sure the tap is open.
- Clean the inlet hose on both ends.
- Clean the filter of the inlet hole in the washing machine. There is a small sieve-shaped filter in the area where the inlet hose connects to the washer. It can be pulled out and cleaned.
- Make sure that the drainage hose is clean and not bent.
It turned out that the problem was elsewhere. The little nozzles in the washing machine that actually spray the water inside to the area with the detergent. They were clogged with limescale. We had to descale them, and then everything worked well. You can use vinegar or special descaling substances. We used that to make the clogging softer and then scraped it out with a piece of wire. See the photos below. Please note that this is not a professional advice. Just something we found out and could not find elsewhere.
