USA in Anime - American Characters, Places, and References

United States of America definitely belong to the most well-known countries in the world. Despite the conflict between the US and Japan during World War II, Japanese find the American culture cool and the relationships between these two countries is good nowadays. USA of course appears in many anime or manga titles which I would like to list in this article.

Steins Gate

The main characters visit USA in this anime and there is a fictional American Viktor Chondria University. There some funny Engrish scenes with the main character Okabe Rintaro.

Hetalia Axis Powers

This anime contains personifications of various countries and of course America is also one of the characters.

Sword Art Online: Alicization

Glowgen Defense Systems is an American organization in this anime with many characters like Gabriel Miller

Yu-Gi-Oh!

A character called Bandit Keith is the former Duel Monsters champion of USA. There are also other references such as Maximillion Pegasus who won the United States The King of Duelist that took place at New York Duel Stadium.

US president appears in this anime.

Donald John Trump appears in this anime in the White House.

A lot of American references is used in this anime. For example, the names of All Might's attacks, such as Detroit or Missouri Smash. A character called Star and Stripe was the strongest hero in USA and her design and name is based on the American flag.

American characters appear in this anime and manga. A character called Mohammad Alai is inspire by the famous American boxer Muhhamad Ali.

Ash Lynx is the leader of a New York gang.

Katsura is introduced as Donald Zuramp which is of course a reference to the president Donald Trump.
